June 1998 Exotic Anguilla Hats off to Straw Hat, which I consider to be the best new restaurant on the island. Situated on a pier jutting into the sea, its cleverly placed blue lights flood the water creating a surrealistic landscape. Inside the restaurant, brightly painted straw hats are everywhere - on the chandeliers and sconces, in the bathroom - even the warm bread is served in an upside-down straw hat.
